Terms of service

Who you are buying from

This store is operated by Erasmus Press, publisher of the works of Erasmus Cromwell-Smith II. In these terms, we and us mean Erasmus Press, and you means the person placing an order.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send the confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order, and refund it in full, where the item is unavailable, where the price or description was published in error, or where we suspect fraud.

Prices and payment

All prices are in United States dollars and exclude any import duty or destination taxes, which are described in our shipping policy. Prices may change, but a change never affects an order already confirmed. Payment is taken at checkout.

Delivery and returns

Delivery times and charges are set out in our shipping policy. Your cancellation and refund rights are set out in our refund policy. Both form part of these terms.

Digital editions and the licence you receive

When you buy an eBook or an audiobook you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read or listen to that work for your own use. You may keep the file and move it between your own devices. You may not resell it, share it publicly, upload it to a file-sharing service, strip its identifying information, or use it to train a machine learning model. The copyright remains with the author.

Copyright

All text, cover art, audio recordings and page design in this store are the property of the author or of Erasmus Press and are protected by copyright. Short quotations for review, teaching or criticism are welcome with attribution. Anything beyond that requires written permission.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to interfere with the store, extract its data by automated means, or use it for anything unlawful.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Books are sold as works of literature. Nothing in them is professional, medical, legal or financial advice, and no outcome is promised from reading them.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you place your order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, and the courts of San Miguel County, Colorado have jurisdiction. If you buy as a consumer in a country whose law gives you rights that cannot be set aside by contract, those rights are unaffected.
